Jewel Arnold Garrett, age 82 of Comer passed away on Tuesday, October 09, 2012. Mrs. Garrett was born Gadsden AL to James and Dollie Mae Arnold on June 10, 1930. She worked for a number of years with J.C. Penney.
Mrs. Garrett is survived by her daughter and son in law, Deborah and Michael Garris; son and daughter in law, Arnie and Amy Garrett; grandchildren Sonya Perkins, Paula Schimmel, Christen Hudnall, Shannon Streetman, great grandchildren, Chloe Perkins, Walker Schimmel, Natalie and Adison Streetman.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 11 AM until 1 PM. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 1 PM with the Rev. Warren Green officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Cemetery.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to the Madison and Oglethorpe County Animal Shelter c/o 1888 Colbert Danielsville Road, Danielsville, GA 30633.
