Jessie Thomas Almand Sr

Madison - Jessie Thomas Almand, Sr., 76, died November 19, 2011.
A native of Social Circle, he was a son of the late Oscar Lewsi and Lucy Bell Almand and was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Almand. He was a building contractor for over fifty years and helped build Oasis Faith Baptist Church and Willow Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Oconee Chapel, Hwy 53, Watkinsville. Interment will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Almand; four children, Anthony Almand, Rhonda Durand, Jessie T. Almand, Jr. and Mark Almand, all of Madison; brother, Billy Almand of Social Circle; four grandchildren, Steven Almand, Starla Almand, Devin Almand, Heyleigh Almand; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
