Athens - Jerry Strickland, 65, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Athens, he was the son of Charlie Monroe and Grace Davis Strickland. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Mildred Seagraves, Catherine Moore, Hazel Hollis; brothers: J.B. Strickland, Billy Strickland, Jack Strickland, Frank Strickland and Dink Strickland. He was a floor shine tech. for Burkhalter Floor Shinning. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his sister Elizabeth Anglin of Colbert as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 11AM at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
