Wayne Stanford, aged 73, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Danielsville, Georgia. Born on November 30, 1951, Wayne was known for his generous and outgoing personality, always ready to make a new friend.
Wayne graduated from Fort Myers High School and went on to have a distinguished career spanning 52 years as a lineman, electrician, and assembly line robotics technician. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were admired by all who knew him.
In his personal life, Wayne was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane Stanford; his brother Max Stanford and sister-in-law Nan Stanford; sister Elise Kuhn; son Jason Stanford; daughter Angela Fisher; daughter-in-law Erin Stanford; sons Gary Evans and Randy Evans; daughter-in-law Cynthia Evans; and grandsons Chase Gibson, Logan Fisher, Ashton Fisher, and Dillon Stanford. Wayne was preceded in death by his father LeBron Stanford, mother Grace Stanford, and sister Donna Smith.
Wayne's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and being a mechanic enthusiast. He was an all-around handyman who loved working with his hands, a testament to his practical and resourceful nature.
A service to honor Wayne's life will be held at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home @ 6-8 pm on 03/05/25 , located at 963 Highway 98 East, Danielsville, Georgia 30633. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
