Jerry D. Purser

Jerry Donaldson Purser, 89, of Athens passed away on November 26, 2022. Born on October 24, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph Donaldson Purser and Ruby C. Jones Purser.

Jerry served in the United States Army and retired from UGA College of Education after 31 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty P. Tanner.

Survivors include his nieces, Tina Hutcheson of Kite, Georgia, Bonnie F. Williams of Brunswick, Georgia; friend, Jonathan C. Patterson of Athens, Georgia.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville.
