Athens - Jerry Wayne Gooch, 64, husband of Vicki Rae Rohrbough, died Friday, May 25, 2012.
A native of Athens, he was the son of Sybil Gabriel Gooch of Athens and the late Luther Gooch. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Betsy, brother, Ronnie and sister, Jan. Jerry attended Gainesville Junior College and while attending the University of Georgia he was drafted into the Officer Candidate School in the US Army during Vietnam.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Athens Clarke County Animal Shelter.
