Jerry Anglin

Comer Jerry Dupree Anglin, 49, of Comer, passed away suddenly at Athens Regional Medical Center on May 19, 2011. Mr. Anglin was born on March 20, 1962 to Rev. William Dupree and Helen Flowers Anglin in Atlanta. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and attended Welcome Avenue Congregational Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Tracy Glover Anglin. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Broach Anglin; daughters , Samantha Anglin and CaSondra Hatfield; son, Jeremy Dupree Anglin; stepdaughters, Megan and Jamie Reece; stepson, Jacob Pearson; parents, the Rev. William and Helen Anglin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Loyd Callaway, Jane and Tommy Giles, and Shevonda and Rick Cowart; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Toni Anglin; granddaughter, Caylee; four nephews, and five nieces. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at the funeral home, and the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22 at the Welcome Avenue Congregational Holiness Church, with the Rev. Larry Pruitt and the Rev. Gloria Farmer officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Lord & Stephens, Madison Chapel, is in charge of all arrangements.
