Jennie Elaine (Wilson) Hayes

Jennie Elaine Hayes, 65, wife of William David Hayes, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016. A native of Watkinsville, she was the daughter of the late William F. Wilson and Ethel Wilkes Wilson. Jennie was a member of Antioch Christian Church where she was very active as a Sunday School Teacher for more than 25 years. She was a woman of many passions that includes flowers, gardening, her koi pond, the outdoors, working in the yard, animals, being an artist (painting and drawing) and most importantly her love for Family and the Lord. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons: Tony (Terri) Hayes of Watkinsville, Steve (Megan) Hayes of Watkinsville; siblings: Donald (Debbie) Wilson of Watkinsville, Mary (Joe) Diletto of Madison, Joe (Valerie) Wilson of Watkinsville; grandchildren: Alyssa, Victoria, Caleb, Josh, Bella, Jack, Addie, Isaac, Callie Rose; great grandchildren: Conner and Amouri and beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11AM at Antioch Christian Church with Rev. Scott Bartholomew officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Caleb Hayes, Josh Powers, Brandon Wilkes, Jay Durham, Kenney Wilson, Vince Diletto, Dennis Wilson and Pat Hayes. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday, April 15, 2016 at the funeral home.
