Jennie H. (Harris) Greene

March 26, 1949 — October 22, 2022

Jennie H. Greene, 73, died October 22, 2022.

A native of Columbus, GA, Jennie lived most of her life in Walton County. She was a daughter of the late Pete and Betty Harris.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Everette Greene; son, Rodney Greene; daughter, Kristy (Scott) Coleman; stepdaughter, Kim Greene; stepson, Jody Greene; grandchildren; Sydney Hayden, Walker Greene, Taylor Coleman, Austin Coleman, Trinity Greene, Nicole Greene and Justin Greene and one sister.

Jennie was a very loving and caring wife, mom, and Mimi to her family.  Jennie and her husband spent every minute of every day together.  She kept the finances for her husband's company up until she retired 15 years ago. Once she retired her and her husband loved to go to yard sales, auctions, and antique booths.  She was so proud of the adults her kids had grown into.  She loved watching her grand kids play sports, sing, play music instruments, and anything else they chose to do.  She would light up every time one of her grand kids would walk into her home or whenever she saw them.

Jennie was a wonderful friend.  Her friends referred to her as one of the sweetest people they knew.  She also had a great compassion for animals.  She loved every kind of animal especially cats and horses.  She loved to ride her horses and she had many cats over the years. Jennie will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Services will be held at a later date.
