Jeffrey Acker Martin

Jeffrey Acker Martin, born on September 9, 1966, in South Carolina, passed away on March 4, 2025, in Winterville, Georgia. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jeffrey dedicated his career to working as a drywall contractor, earning the respect of his colleagues and clients alike. His expertise in his trade was matched only by his dedication to his craft. Outside of work, Jeffrey was known for his loving and caring demeanor, always bringing laughter to those around him with his great sense of humor.

Jeffrey took great joy in spending time with his family, particularly his eight beloved grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He cherished every moment spent with them, from hunting in the great outdoors to simply enjoying a meal together, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Martin; his mother, Donna Acker Colquitt (Howard); children: Heather Kettle (Chris), Anthony Moody, Haden Martin (Lacy), Hannah Martin; grandchildren: Caylan Kettle (Mikayla), Will Kettle, Emma Kettle, Mila Martin, Ellie Martin, Wilder Martin, Paisley Kettle and Lenora Martin; and sister: Deana Thomas (Mitch). Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Robby Dean Martin.

The family invites all to join them in celebrating Jeffrey's life. Visitation will be held on March 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes, Athens, located at 4355 Lexington Road, Athens, GA 30605.
