Jean Elizabeth Roley

Jean Elizabeth Neary Roley, 94, of Athens, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023.

Jean was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada where she was active in theater, music and choir. She moved in mid-life to Athens and fell in love with the city. Jean made friends wherever she went, and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolf W. Roley; parents, Edward J. Neary and Muriel (Wescott) Neary; brothers, Angus, George, Edward and infant brother Harold; and several dear friends.

Left to mourn and celebrate her life are her brother David (Margot); sisters-in-law Patricia Neary and Doreen Neary; ten cherished nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

A memorial service and inurnment will take place in Newfoundland at a later date.
