Jean Kittle Daniel, 84, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
Born in Athens on January 4, 1940, Jean was the daughter of Elijah Kittle and Alma Bray Kittle. She lived her entire life in Athens, graduated from Athens High, and was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Jean worked as a bookkeeper for her family business, Robert Daniel Construction.
In her spare time, she loved the beach, where she could work on her all-important tan. She was an avid sports fan, especially tennis, UGA football, and Jeopardy. She cheered on every baseball game her two boys ever played from Little League through high school. She loved Honeybuns, Diet Coke, Roger Federer, and Tom Selleck. Above all, she loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Daniel; their son, Robert Steven Daniel; and her siblings: Tommy Kittle, Robert Kittle, and Doris Harris.
Jean is survived by her son, Timothy Derek Daniel, Sr. (Lori); daughter-in-law Diana McCook Daniel; grandchildren: Amber Daniel, Timothy Daniel, Jr. (Virginia), Elizabeth Brock (Stephen), Lindsey Daniel, and Victoria Roberds (Michael); great-grandchildren: Ivy Sinyard, Waylon Brock, Emeline Brock, Stevie Brock, and Aden Rowe; and sisters-in-law: Shirley Kittle, Evelyn Hix (Donald), and Sandra Kittle.
