Janis Gomillion

Janis Scherer Gomillion, 89, of Watkinsville, passed away on Thursday, January 13,2022.  Born on February 19,1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Eva Koch Scherer and Michael Scherer.  A lifelong homemaker, Janis loved her family dearly.  She enjoyed gardening, planning family vacations, and loved traveling, especially with her husband in their retirement years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Philip M. Scherer and an infant brother.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 68 years,  Robert Gerald Gomillion; daughters, Roberta Bacastow (David), Gail Chasteen (Tom); two granddaughters, one grandson, and seven great grandchildren.
