Watkinsville - Janet Elaine Tanner, 63, beloved wife of Dale Tanner, died Sunday, July 2, 2006 from complication of Diabetes. She had battled the illness for 45 years in a way that provided an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Born in Delaware County Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Heidrich Hinkle and Marian Warren Hinkle. She was a regular attendee of Faith Presbyterian Church, Watkinsville, GA.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons; Duane Scott Wilkinson of Tulsa, OK, Robert Thomas (Mary) Wilkinson of Dallas, TX, step children; Virginia Lee (Robert) Harriett of Medford, NJ, Judith Ann (Randy) Link of Levittown, PA and Cheryl Dale (Chris) Roethke of Woodbury Hts, NJ, sister, Judith Anne Taylor of Wilmington, DE, brother, Thomas Allen Hinkle of West Collingswood, NJ, grandchildren, David Wilkinson, Johnny Wilkinson, Melissa Wilkinson, Shawn Harriett, Michael Harriett, Christopher Roethke and Jenny Roethke.
Funeral services were held 10:30, Friday, July 7, 2006 at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Dr. Bob McAndrews officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Weiss, Pat Moy, David Wilkinson, Johnny Wilkinson, Vince Williams, Max Felty and Danny Curtner.
