Jane Elizabeth Tinker, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the age of 94.
Born in Pontiac Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Harry Knudsen and Minnie Street Knudsen. She married Richard Tinker in June 1947 and they relocated to Athens, Ga in 2004.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Winters Tinker, and brothers, Everett Knudsen, Robert Knudsen, Donald Knudsen, Richard Knudsen, and John Knudsen as well as two sisters, Helen Chamberlain and Marge Bressner.
Surviving family includes her two daughters Karen Sperry of Lula Ga, and Carol Clark of Murfreesboro, Tn. Four grandchildren, Andrew Clark, Christopher Clark, Alejandro Clark, and Maria Clark. Great grandchildren include Jacob Clark, Taro Clark, Keigan Clark, Caden Clark, Zakiaya Clark, and Jacy Williamson Clark. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 11:00 am at Athens MemoryGardens located at 5195 Lexington Road in Athens, Ga. Lordand Stephens in Athens Ga is in charge of the arrangements.
