Carlton - Jane Smith Brooks, 76, wife of the late Ronald Brooks, died Thursday, May 30, 2013.
A native of Carlton, she was the daughter of the late Will and Mamie Scoggins Smith. She retired from General Times and was a member of Carlton Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sisters in law: Brenda Parham and Miriam Brooks both of Elberton; brother in law: Earnie Parham of Elberton and several niece and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3PM at Carlton Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Duhon officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Carlton Baptist Church, 100 Church Street, Carlton, GA 30627.
