James "Walt" Walter Elder

James Walter “Walt” Elder, 86, husband of Geraldine Elder, died Sunday, December 20, 2020.

Born in Farmington, GA he was the son of the late Clovis Elder and Katie Mildred Ivie Elder and father to the late Jimmy Elder.  Walt retired from Coca-Cola Company and from the Oconee County School System Maintenance Department. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church. Walt will be truly missed and was loved by all in the community.   He was truly one of a kind.

Survivors include his extended family, Tim & Vickie Carithers, Timothy & Penny Carithers, Brandon & Leigha Carithers, Zachary & Stephanie Carithers and Krista (Feather) and Tim Whitlock; thirteen great grandchildren.

Private graveside services for the family will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elder Cemetery Fund, C/O Doyle Elder, 4180 Greensboro Hwy., Watkinsville, GA 30677.
