James Melvin Young

James Melvin Young, 64 of Comer, died Saturday, March 21, 2015. Born in Danielsville, GA, he was the son of the late John Curtis Young and Geneva Booth Young. Melvin was the former owner and longtime operator of Rocky Ridge Inc. and member of Clouds Creek Baptist Church. Survivor include his wife, Marilyn Sanders Young; son: Jamie Young of Comer; daughter and son in law: Kelli and JB Nation of Crawford and two grandchildren: Brandon Young and Hollyn Nation. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel. Burial will follow at Collier Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
