Crawford - James Cephas West, 69, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on April 7, 1940 in Warren County, Tenn. to Joe C. West and Willie Mai West. James retired from the US Army as a Master Sergeant, serving during the Vietnam War. He was the owner operator of Auto Upholstery Shop in Lexington, GA and was a member of American Legion Post 123, Lexington, Ga.
He is survived by three sisters: Mary Holliman of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Martha Storm of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Wanda Disher of Athens, Ga..
A memorial service for Mr. West is planned for 11:00AM, Saturday, May 30th at the American Legion Post 123, Lexington, Ga.
