James “Jim” Lee Tucker, Jr., 64, husband of 26 years to Nancy Tucker, died on Sunday, May 12, 2024.
Born in Athens, GA he was the son of the late James Lee Tucker, Sr. and Geraldine Wilson Tucker.
Jim became the President of Tucker Electrical after his father’s retirement. He was an active member of the Winterville Community where he was a member of Winterville United Methodist Church, served on the Winterville Historic Society, Commissioner with Planning and Zoning for the City of Winterville and was an active member of the Winterville Civitan Club. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved duck hunting and fly fishing. He was a loving husband, devoted father, wonderful grandfather reliable brother, devoted uncle, and loyal friend to many.
Survivors in addition to his wife Nancy include two children: James “Jamie” Lee Tucker, III and Chelle (Eric) Kleinwachter; siblings: Wendy (Wesley) Jordan and Mark (Christy) Tucker; grandchildren: McKailey and Tanner Kleinwachter; nephew: Alex Jordan and nieces: Nicole Jordan, Lexie Tucker and Rossi Tucker.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 11AM at Lord and Stephens East Chapel. Interment will follow at Winterville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ben Brewster, Jimmy Ingram, Lance Malaier, Hal Pruitt, Randy Hanley, and Mayor Dodd Ferrelle and John Garrison will be an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Jim’s name may be made to the Winterville Civitan Club, P.O. Box 62, Winterville, GA 30683.
