James (jerry) Stevens

Athens - Jerome (Jerry) Stevens, age 61, of Athens, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Athens Regional Medical Center. He was born in Iola, Wisconsin on January 11, 1945 to the late Francis and Bernice Kutchenriter Stevens. He is also preceded in death by his two brothers, Donald and Mark Stevens. He was employed at Heritage Amusement Company of Athens. Jerry was raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin and graduated from Premontre High School in 1964. He enlisted in the Marine Corp and was a Vietnam Vet and later stationed in Georgia. He and his family has made Athens his home for the last 35 years. He loved to hunt, fish and work. He loved his family and friends and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife Paula Stevens, two daughters, Nora Stevens and Michelle Stevens of Athens. Two sisters, Katie Schultz of Waverly, NY and Mary Cummings of Green Bay, WI. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 till 9 pm at Lord and Stephens ñ West. Flowers are optional and the family ask that a donation of choice be made in honor of Jerry Stevens. Lord and Stephens ñWest, on Jimmy Daniel Road is in charge of the arrangements.
