Lexington - James Lee Norman, 64, husband of Kathy Bryant Norman, died Friday, January 22, 2010.
Born in Athens, Ga., he was the son of the late James Herman and Manie Treadwell Norman. He was retired from Consolidated Freight Way as a truck driver.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. John E. Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Arnoldsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Black, Matt Mathews, Michael Mathews, Graham Calloway, Jason Tiller, Danny Escoe, David Gay and Tab Ansley.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his son: James "Bunk" Norman of Thomson; stepdaughters: Marie Lawrence of Lexington, Kasie Lawrence of Royston; sister: Shirley Davis of Athens; granddaughter: Maria Lawrence; nephews and nieces: Greg Fair, Randy Fair, Marcia Norris, Dale Warrison and Diane Chandler.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
