Bishop, GA - James Darrell Monroe, 57, died March 26, 2007.
A native of Chambers County, Alabama, he was a son of the late Crayton and Lois Cole Monroe. He lived in this area for many years and retired from the University of Georgia.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 28, 2007, ay 7:00 PM at Oconee Chapel with Rev. Donnie Webb officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Peggy Martin Monroe; brother, Bill Monroe of Valley, Alabama; nephew, Adrian Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Oconee Lions Club, First Responders of Oconee County or Healing Word Ministries of Winder.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
