Royston - James Clifford Herndon, 72, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Fulton County, he was the son of Ruby Ogletree Herndon of Macon, GA and the late Clifford J. Herndon. He was a 1952 graduate of West Fulton High School and retired from Peachtree Windows after 16 years.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Herndon is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia "Pat" Freeman Herndon of Royston; children: Beth Cochran and husband Michael, Michelle Rabitsch and husband Jimmy, J. Charles "Chuck" Herndon and wife, LoRena, siblings: Kathy Cullens, Carlton Herndon; four grandchildren, two step grandchildren, one great grandchild and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 2PM at Castellaw Funeral Home, Smyrna, GA, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the services. Rev. Phil Holder will officiate. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Atlanta, GA. Honorary pallbearers will be the West Fulton High School Owl Club Members. Visitation will also be held tonight, Friday, March 16, 2007, from 6 to 8 at Lord & Stephens, Danielsville Chapel.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
