James Dewey Hall

James Dewey Hall, 94 of Athens passed away September 7, 2013. Mr. Hall was born in Jackson County, GA to Grover and Emma Hunsinger Hall on September 8, 1918. Mr. Hall worked for many years as a farm manager for the University of Georgia Horticulture Department and was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church. He will always be remembered for the love he had for his church family as well as being a caring and loving dad.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ludie Bell Alford Hall; sons Jimmy Don Hall and James Lowayne Hall; and a number of brothers and sisters. He is survived by children; Willie D. Hall, Barbara Hall Cannon, Dan Hall, Carl Clinton Hall; brother Grover Hall Jr; 12 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 2 PM with the Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. Interment will be held in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Whitehall Baptist Church.
