Chaplain (COL-Ret) James LaMar Griffin, US Army, 64, husband of Dixie Cain Griffin, died Monday, September 2, 2019. Born in Langdale, AL, he was the son of the late Tommy Frank Griffin and Frances Blackmon Griffin.  LaMar retired after serving in the US Army for 30 years as a Chaplain and was a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church, Athens, GA.  In addition to his wife Dixie, he is survived by three children: Bethany (Brooks) Keisler of Warner Robins, GA, Erin (Josh) Keel of Statesboro, GA, and Zach (Hallie) Griffin of New York City, NY; brother: Chris (Ella) Griffin of Kennesaw, GA; six grandchildren: Anna Brooke, Emma Kate, and Knox Keisler and Jackson, Molly, and Caroline Keel.
