James Edward Drake

James Edward Drake, 89, died Friday, August 31, 2018. Mr. Drake was preceded in death by his parents, Johnson Drake and Celia Lee Slaton, along with his wife, Eunice Drake. He is survived by his daughters, Gail Waldrop and Peggy Burch, brothers, Charles Drake, Allen Slaton, George Slaton,  Paul Drake, and Gene Drake, sisters, June Guest, Brenda Brittelli, Linda Gentry, and Becky Hart, Mary Lou Dewberry, grandchildren, Kennith Drake, Michael Burch, and Michelle Burch, and great grandchildren, Hendrix Burch, Kayla Burch, and Halen Burch.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Meadow Baptist Church in Comer, the family will receive friends from 1-1:45 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
