James Jackson "Jack" Eades

June 30, 1931 — November 16, 2016

James Jackson "Jack" Eades, 85, of Watkinsville, died November 16, 2016.
A native of Oconee County, he was a son of the late Johnny Thaddeus and Annie Lou Huff Eades and was also preceded in death by his sister, Lourene Norton, and brothers, Eugene Eades and Rupert "Buster" Eades.
Jack was retired as MSGT with the US Air Force following 23 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked and retired as a tax appraiser with Oconee County. He was a member of VFW, Bethabara Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lord Eades; children, John (Sharon) Eades of Watkinsville, Deborah d'Autheuil of Orlando, FL and Jim Eades of Miami, FL; brother, G.W. (Caroline) Eades of High Shoals; grandchildren, Drew Eades, Ryan Eades, Jocelyn Harper, Chantel Rich and Robert d'Auteuil; 2 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with Rev. Rob Bray officiating. Interment will be in Johnson United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Joy Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethabara Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
