James Baysden of Hull, Georgia (formerly of Kingston, NC), died peacefully in his sleep on March 1, 2024. James was 81 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his passing. James was born on July 24, 1942.
James was a small business owner – He owned and operated The Biscuit Barn in Athens, GA for over 17 years. The Biscuit Barn was James’ pride, Joy, and one of his many life’s work. He poured his heart and soul into the business which showed to all customers and patrons of The Biscuit Barn who still reminisce on his great biscuits.
Everyone who knew James knows how boisterous he was. James was full of determination, traits that were obvious to all after even just a single meeting with him.
Funeral Service is Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East Chapel. The visitation will be on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. The interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
James is survived by His wife Martha; his sister, Lillian Stroud; his daughter, Connie Barber; son, Royce Bray; all of his grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and an abundance of friends. We will miss him more than words can say.
