Watkinsville - Jaime Alfredo Garcia-Rios, 72, husband of Ana de Garcia, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospice House.
Born in Bogota`, Colombia, South America, he was the son of the late Luis A. Garcia and Evelia Rios. He was a dental technician of 40 years and had worked at Walmart on Epps Bridge Road for the last 10 years. He had attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Jamie had lived in the Athens area for the past 12 years and had many dear friends.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Garcia is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Anapatricia Garcia and Raul Otalora of Greensboro, Ga., Amparo S. Garcia and Alejandro Arbelaez of West Hartford, Conn.; sister, Inez Sotelo-Garcia; brother, Alvaro Garcia; grandchildren, Sabrina, Nicole, Anamaria, David; and several other relatives.
A memorial service will be held, Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006.
