Jacqueline Swindler Pettigrew, 95, passed away peacefully on December 21 in Watkinsville Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Colonel Dee W Pettigrew, Jr., and her brother Roger Swindler. She is survived by her sister Charlotte Webber, by her children Jennie (Rick) Pettigrew and Chip (Norma) Pettigrew, and by 8 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-greats.

The memorial service will be Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Presbyterian Village Athens Chapel, Watkinsville GA.

. The interment will be in Clarendon, Arkansas. Jackie was known for her faith in Jesus as well as her love of singing, of world travel, and of her pets. She was born in Xenia, Ohio at the beginning of the Great Depression. Her father and her husband were both career Army officers, and she enjoyed the many travels and adventures that went along with Army life. After retirement, she and her husband made Watkinsville their home base to be near their children and grandchildren. Jackie and Dee were long-time members of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
