Jacqueline Martin

d. March 9, 2017

Jacqueline Jeanette Stone Martin was born May 27, 1930, and went home to be with her Lord on March 9, 2017.

Jacque grew up in Tarrant City, AL and received her Registered Nursing degree from the University of Alabama College of Nursing in Birmingham. She nursed at both Athens General (now Piedmont ARMC) and St. Mary's hospitals. The last eighteen years of her career was with the Northeast Georgia Health District. It was during this time that she received her Nurse Practitioner certification in Adult Health from Emory University.

A long-time member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church, she was a member of the Joyful Faith Sunday School class, and what a joyful group they were! One of her favorite activities was filling the role of Shepherd to these ladies. She now joins the many who departed this life before her.

Jacque was preceded in death by her son, Robin Martin; her parents, Willie Edwin and Ruby Zelda Stone; and her siblings, Kenneth Stone and Sara Lyle.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Epps (Mike) and their children: Chris, Jonathan (Kori), and Tracy, as well as her daughter-in-law, Missy Martin and her daughters Ashley (Adam Daniels), Brittany, and Courtney. The loves of her life were her great-grandchildren: Ava, Kairi, Wyatt, Ian and Andrew. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Lord and Stephens West chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Compassionate Care Hospice or the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
