Jackson Wade Dixon

Jackson Wade Dixon, 73, of Colbert, GA, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was the son of the late Thomas and Geneva Dixon of Bogart, GA. He was retired from United Insurance Co. of America and Farmers Hardware of Athens. He is survived by wife Barbara L. Dixon; daughter Dawn Roberts of Watkinsville, GA; stepdaughters Cynthia Hardy of Roswell, GA, and Deborah Mitas of Woodstock, GA; seven grandchildren; sister Nancy Shelnutt (Henry) of Bogart, GA; and niece Dana O'Neal (Robert) of Bogart, GA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Colbert United Methodist Church in Colbert, GA, with visitation to follow. Lord and Stephens Funeral Home of Danielsville, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
