Jackson (Jack) D. Yarbrough, 84, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010.
A native of Clarke County, he was a son of the late Bill and Maude Yarbrough. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Shelnutt Yarbrough, son, Michael Yarbrough and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST with Dr. Joel Dover and Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. Interment will be in Union Christian Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, of twenty-seven years, Mildred Lester Yarbrough; son, Jerry "Bird" Yarbrough of Ila, GA; daughter, Becky (Bob) Carey of Buckhead, GA; sister, Jenny Stephens Thaxton; sister-in-law, Hazel Yarbrough of Athens, GA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; step-daughters, Janet Fortner and Carol Welch.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
