Lexington - Jack Lamar Whitehead, 78, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at University Health and Rehabilitation.
Born in Oglethorpe County he was the of the late Herbert Whitehead and Francis Palmer Kelley. He was a cattle farmer and retired from Guaranteed Parts Company.
He served his country in the US Navy and the US Army.
Survivors include his three children, grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Pentecost Chapel Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery at 2PM with Rev. Frank Walker officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at Crawford Chapel.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
