Crawford - Jack Farr Stokely, 78, husband of the late Libby Grimes Stokely, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospice House.
Born in Crawford and a life long resident, Jack was the son of the late J.G. "Jack" Stokely and Addie Berry Stokely. He was a member of Crawford Baptist Church and owner and operator of Stokely Garage for 44 years until his retirement in 2006.
Survivors include his daughter and her partner; June (Wanda Stover) Stokely of Bethlehem; sister: Jacquline Stokely Williford of Augusta; sister-in-law: Martha Faust of Crawford, brothers in law: Amos E. (Marcia) Grimes of Peachtree City, George A. (Linda) Grimes of Conyers, W.P. "Jule" Grimes of Crawford as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 at 1PM at Crawford Cemetery with Rev. David Shivar officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 12, 2009 from 6 to 8 at Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Hospice House.
