Jack Thomas 'Tommy' Huff, 80, died April 9, 2005.
Born in Branchville, SC, he was the son of the late John Wesley Berry Huff and Clara Myers Huff. Mr. Huff was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, having served in the Pacific. Mr. Huff lived in Athens for the past 42 years and was retired from Georgia Power with 39 years of service. He was a member of the Georgia Power Ambassadors and Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Rev. Herb Owen officiating. Entombment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tommy Huff, Garry Huff, Jason Huff, Jeremy Huff, Kevin Monette, and friends, Tommy Smith and Richard Turpin.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Georgia Power Ambassadors.
Survivors include his wife, Doris K. Huff; children, Gerald Thomas Huff, Sr., Jack Albert Huff and Lois Jill Huff Monette; twin sister, Gladys Huff Crum of Branchville, SC; brother, Owen F. Huff of Cayce, SC; ten grandsons, one granddaughter and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
