Comer - Jack Garner, 81, husband of the late Gladys Arnold Garner, died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at his residence.
A native of Salisbury, NC, he was the son of the late Howard Lee and Mary Jane Seabolt Garner. He retired from Pike Electric as a heavy equipment operator, served his country in the US Navy during WWII, was a member of Thyatira Community Chapel, Jefferson, Ga., and was known as the Produce Man of Carlton.
Survivors include his daughter, Jacqui Garner Gilley of Carlton, Ga., sister, Hazel Darnell of Cornelia, Ga., grandson, Heath Gilley of Carlton, Ga., and great grandchildren, Abby, Ethan and Heath Gilley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 3PM at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Ted Pritchett officiating. Burial will follow at the Brown Family Cemetery in Carlton, Ga. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
