Athens, GA - Jessie Clyde Peek, Jr. (J.C.) died January 10, 2007.
Born in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Jessie Clyde, Sr. and Bessie Mae Bratcher Peek. Mr. Peek retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service, including 5 tours in Vietnam. Following his military career, he was employed with Stone Corrugated Container for 16 years and Athens Regional Medical Center Security for 10 years. He was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Duncan Peek; brother, David G. (Lisa) Peek of Covington; sister, Susan A. Peek; brother in law and sister in law, Larry and Jeanne Scoggins of Danielsville and sister in law, Freda Roberts of Athens; nieces, nephews and a large church family.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, EAST, Friday from 12:00 until 1:30 PM followed by graveside services at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Park.
