Statham - John B. McDaris, 89, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008.
He was the son of the late John and Julia Huggins McDaris and the husband of Ruth Treadwell McDaris. He was employed with the International Harvester Company, a member of the American Legion of Athens, and a member of Hebron Christian Church.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2008, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home WEST with Rev. Danny Shoemake officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors in addition to his wife include children and spouse, Pam and Bo Wolfe, Pat and Mike Strain, both of Fayetteville Ga.; sister, Eula Mae Dial of Athens; brother, Bill McDaris of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Nikki and Jason Movius, Courtney Wolfe, Megan Wolfe, Kellan Strain, Brennan Strain, Jordan Strain; three great-grandchildren, Cole Movius, Carson Movius and Cody Wolfe.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00 thru 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Hebron Christian Church or Odyssey Hospice of Athens.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home WEST is in charge of arrangements.
