Colbert - Laura Irene Morris Osborne, 85, died May 26, 2011.
A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, she was born May 5, 1926, daughter of the late James Redden and Annie Eva Sharp Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Morris and Lucille Morris; sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Bill Toney; brothers, C.B. Morris, Johnny Morris and Clifford Morris; sister-in-law, Agnes Morris and brothers-in-law, Steven Osborne and Jowett Logan. Mrs. Osborne was a member of Colbert United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ted Osborne; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Wendy Osborne; grandchildren, Jessica and Jared Osborne; sister, Betty Logan; brother, Joe Morris; sisters in law, Delores Osborne, Rebecca Morris and Oline Morris, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Colbert United Methodist Church. Mrs. Osborne will lie in state from 2:00 until 3:00 PM. Interment will be in Colbert Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Lord and Stephens Madison Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
