India Booth Compton, 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 5, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
Ms. India was a devoted mother, wife, sister and friend. She was a member of Meadow Baptist Church for forty years. She was a retired telephone operator with AT&T of thirty years.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Larry Partain of Elberton, son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Pamela Dean of Cumming, daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Steve Thompson of Eastanollee; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirley and Paul Brown of Royston and Earlene and (Jack E. Dean, deceased); nine grandchildren, Blake Yeargin, Brandon Yeargin, Kristen Stamey, Andrew Stamey, Keaton Thompson, Ethan Dean, Jordan Dean, Jack Dean and Luke Dean; several nieces and nephews; devoted caregivers include Earlene Dean and Priscilla Mullinax; and é�'Sugar", her canine companion.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Meadow Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Sarna officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Research (www.APDAGeorgia.org), Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, COPD Research, or American Lung Association.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
