Hull - Jean Nix, wife of Alton Nix, died Friday, May 1, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 3, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Lord and Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Tim Vaughn, Rev. Toney Moon and Rev. Peggy Holbrooks officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Daniel Nix, Ronnie Nix, Wayne Nix, Joseph Alton Bagwell, Doug Jones and Terry Taylor.
Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Gordie Lee Coker Jones. She was a member of Heritage Fellowship Church and retired as an inspector from Superior Pants after 25 years.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include daughters, Melinda (Jim) Bagwell of Hull and Judy Frances (Steve) Morris of Comer; grandchildren, Samantha (Jason) Williams of Winder and Joseph Alton Bagwell of Hull; and one great-grandchild, Taylor Williams.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House.
