Comer - Ila Mae Harwell, 86, wife of the late James Gordon Harwell, died Monday, July 24, 2006 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late William Jordan and Laura Inez King Stewart and also was preceded in death by her brothers Howard Stewart and Carl Stewart. She was a homemaker and had been a member of Comer United Methodist Church for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her son, Evin Harwell and his wife Marsha of Virginia Beach, VA, sister, Florette Smith of Comer, GA, and one grandson, John Harwell of Wixom, MI.
Funeral services will be held 11AM, Friday, July 28, 2006 at Comer United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike McLemore and Mr. Dennis Wester officiating. Burial will follow at Colbert Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 27, 2006 from 6PM to 8PM at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
