Arnoldsville - Ida Alice White, 97, wife of the late Homer F. White, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Athens Heritage Nursing Center.
Born in Oglethorpe, she was the daughter of the late John and Roberta Broome Coile. She was a member of Arnoldsville Baptist Church and was involved in the senior adult Sunday school class. She was an avid gardener and canning vegetables that she grew.
Survivors include her six sons and their (spouses); Herschel (June) White of Atlanta, Cecil (Retha) White of Marietta, Talmadge White of Arnoldsville, James (Faye) White of Conyers, Harold (Mary) White of Norcross, Charles (Linda) White of Athens, sister, Janette Denton of Atlanta, brother, Olin Coile of Atlanta, 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services 11 AM, Saturday, November 26, 2005 at Arnoldsville Baptist Church with Revs. Larry Davidson and Mark Fite officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Burial will be at Athens Memory Gardens.
Flowers are optional.
