Ida Maxwell

Athens, GA - Ida Maxwell, 98, of Athens, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Mrs. Maxwell was preceded in death by her parents, James and Emma Cox. She is survived by her husband, James, of 77 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by daughter, Pat (Rev. Dan) May of Athens, son Dr. Robert Maxwell (Karen) of Ft. Meyers FL, brothers Herman Cox of Magalia CA, and Edwin Cox of Newark OH. 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren also survive Mrs. Maxwell.
Ida Maxwell was beloved by all that knew her. To celebrate her life, a funeral service will be held Friday, October 14, 2012 at Lord and Stephens West Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dan May and Rev. Gordon Rhoden will officiate. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Lima, Ohio at a later date.
