Ida Myers Mann

Danielsville - Ida Myers Mann, 94, of Danielsville, GA, died October 8, 2006 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
A Native of Hart County, Mrs. Mann was the daughter of the late Thomas Mahlon Myers and Cancy Smith Myers. She was the widow of the late Hervin C. Mann, She was a member of the Danielsville United Methodist Church. She taught school in Franklin, Hart, Elbert and Madison Counties for several years and retired from Georgia Forestry Commission. She attended the University of Georgia and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi Honorary Educational Society. Mrs. Mann was the last surviving member of her family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Danielsville United Methodist Church at 12:30 with Rev. Mike McLemore and Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Hart County, GA. Pallbearers will be Alvin Mann, Steve Sorrells, George Strickland, Tripp Strickland, Grady Echols and Phil Jones.
She was preceded in death by her son James S. Myers, MD of Dalton. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Carolyn L. Myers of Dalton, grandson, Eric L. Myers of Kingsport, TN and wife, Natalie B. Myers, two great grandchildren, Rad Hervin Myers and Emily Nell Myers, granddaughter, Greta R. Blackwell of Danielsville and husband, Cory F. Blackwell, great grandchild, Cancy M. Blackwell.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Danielsville United Methodist Church or Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Hart County.
