Ida Mae (Ivester) Borders

Ida Mae Borders, 87, wife of the late Thomas Eugene "Gene" Borders, died April 24, 2012.
A native of the Red Hill Community, Stephens, GA, she was the daughter of the late Herschel and Nelia Segars Ivester and mother of the late Patricia Scogin. She was a homemaker and member of Solid Rock Family Worship Center in Elberton, GA.
Survivors include her son: Bobby (Hazel) Forrester of Elberton; daughter: Angie (Michael) Embry of Colbert; son in law: Bruce Scogin of Colbert; grandchildren: Nick Forrester, Larry (Sandra) Tiller, Trent Tiller, Clint (Tammy) Tiller, Missy (Rich) Hatfield, Kendra Embry and Karissa Embry; 14 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 1PM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. James Gunn officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens South, Royston, GA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to The Solid Rock Family Worship Center Building Fund, 1026 Hartwell Highway, Elberton, GA 30635.
Lord & Stephens Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
