I. V. Matthews

I.V. Matthews age 76 died Tuesday March 27, 2012. A native of Lincoln Co. Mr. Matthews was the son of the late Paul and Lois Mae Colquitt Matthews. Mr. Matthews was preceded in death by his wife Mary H. Johnson Matthews. Mr. Matthews was a retired diesel mechanic.
Funeral services will be held Saturday March 31, 2012 at 11:00am at Clouds Creek Baptist Church. Rev. John Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Carlton Cemetery.
Survivors include children Kenny (Vicky) Matthews, Donny (Melissa) Matthews,Mark Matthews, and Kristy(Wesley) Smith. Sister; Jeanette (Tommy) Mayfield. Grandchildren; Bobby, Bryan, and Johnny Matthews,
Matthew Smith, Benjamin Smith, Madyson Parsons, Katie Williams, and Kelli Kitchen. Great Grandchilren; Jacob Smith, Caleb Smith, Chase Matthews, Haley Matthews, Trever Matthews, Tyler Matthews, and Allison Kitchen.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Matthews, Bryan Matthews, Johnny Matthews, Matthew Smith, Benjamin Smith, and Chris Parsons.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7-9pm.
Lord and Stephens, Oglethorpe Chapel has charge of arrangements.
