Hugh Wallace Mathews
April 30, 1933 — February 15, 2015
Hugh Wallace Mathews, 81, husband of Ruby Nell Gunter Mathews, died Sunday, February 15, 2015. A native of Carlton, GA he was the son of the late James Hugh Mathews and Lessie Harris Mathews and brother to the late Robert Calvin Mathews and Katherine Barber. He retired from Harmony Blue Granite Company as a Crane Operator and member of Glade United Methodist Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his son, Tim (Delia) Mathews, daughter, Debra (Jerry) Farmer; grandchildren: Alex Farmer, Tyler Farmer, Cheyenne Mathews and Billie Renee Mathews, two nephews and one niece.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 11AM at Glade United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Bower officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel, Tuesday, February 17, 2015.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Glade United Methodist Church.
